Supported by a high iron base that remembers ancient Roman busts in a stylized way, there is the head of the Vitruvian man by Leonardo da Vinci. A chain hangs from underneath the chest of the sculpture to hold a fragment of electronic gear.
Through the use of Instagram’s Social Network the artist invites the public to interact with her, communicating words that will then be imprinted on the bust of the work using movable type.
The gear that hangs in the middle of the iron bars shows itself as the beating heart of contemporary society as it allows the computer to connect to the internet. At the same time it celebrates Leonardo as the first inventor of complex machines.
The work represents a tribute to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci on his 500th anniversary from his death.

Sorretto da un’alta base di ferro che ricorda in modo stilizzato antichi busti romani vi è la testa dell’ uomo Vitruviano di Leonardo da Vinci. Una catenina pende da sotto il petto della scultura per trattenere un frammento di ingranaggio elettronico.
Attraverso l’uso del Social Network di Instagram l’artista invita il pubblico a interagire con lei, comunicandole parole che poi verranno impresse sul busto dell’opera tramite caratteri mobili.
L’ingranaggio che pende al centro delle barre in ferro si mostra come il cuore pulsante della società contemporanea in quanto permette al computer di connettersi a internet. Allo stesso tempo celebra Leonardo come primo inventore di macchine complesse. L’opera rappresenta un’omaggio al genio di Leonardo da Vinci nel suo 500 anniversario dalla morte.
