The Sea is personified by a young female figure. Completely enamelled with different shades of blue, its colors lighten upwards to show the different depths of the sea.
On the face and hair the white reflection of sunlight is reflected as on the rippling of the water.
The figure is pregnant and holds a hand on her lap, this underlines the ability of water to create life and to be somehow a first mother.

Il Mare è personificato da una giovane figura femminile. Completamente smaltata con diverse tonalità di blu, i suoi colori si schiariscono verso l’alto
per mostrare il diversi livelli della profondità del mare.
Sul viso e i capelli il riflesso bianco della luce solare si riflette come sull’ increspatura dell’acqua.
La figura è incinta e tiene una mano sul grembo, questo sottolinea la capacità dell’acqua di creare vita e di essere in qualche modo una prima madre.
